Q: Betta Problem..Help!
Hi there,
I have a betta in a marineland Eclipse Hex 5...its a 5 gallon with a bio-wheel. My betta was normally deep red. Now his gills are blue, with a splot of gold on it. He is stayign at the bottom of the tank and he really can't swim. He really flares his gills to breath, and this red cartilidge seems to flare out with every breath. Is he dying?

How long have you had him? I'll be asking more questions than that soon, but for now:
Shine a flashlight on him and see if that gold patch isn't a sign. Does he have a gold dusting all over him?
