Q: Clown Agama-Help-

Well I would just like to say THANK YOU to every that has help me and posted back this site is great and I recomend it to anyone who loves animals.Anyways back to the fourm

Well I recently went to my local Reptile Store and I was looking to get a beardie but then debeate came up about it about he size of evryhting including the tank and everything.So I was roaming aorund and I saw some Clown Agams they look just like the beardies except well without the beard.They were cheaper to so I came home to try and find some info on them but there arent alot just something I found about them where they are form but no caresheet I was wodnering if anyone has one and could help me out.

Here are some of my questions.
1.How big do they get
2.What is the max size and minum size tank they could go in?
3.BASIC INFORMATION EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW.

alright, here it goes...Clown Agamas are also known as Painted Agamas or Painted Clown Dragons. They can live perfectly fine with a bearded dragon, your lucky. the main difference is the size. Clown Agamas get about 8 inches long fully grown. about a 30 gallon tank would be great for a minimum OR the maximum. you could house 2-3 in a 55 gallon tank. they are just like Bearded Dragons, as i said. They like the more desert climate (80-95 degrees Farenheight). a great turf would be a sand bottom (washed playsand, about $2 for a 50 pound bag at walmart) and some rocks for climbing and basking. Their diet should consist of Crckets, Mealworms/WaxWorms/SilkWorms, Dandelion Greens and Strawberries. they are not as docile as bearded dragons so taming may be difficult. i hope this helps!

> yes, i have AIM, oox ImaDORK xoo. your welcome. remember, it is rare to find care sheets on these reptiles and clown agamas and bearded dragons have been known as life-long friends living in the same tank.
