Q: determining cockatiel breeds
I've had a cockatiel for a few months, and I've thought she was a normal grey. That's what the person I bought her from said, anyway. But I was looking through some pictures of cockatiels that was on the link Tviokh gave to someone..[http://www.showbirds.com/tiels/menu.html]
and I noticed that she doesn't look much like normal ones, though..
She is light grey on her back, but then the grey turns sort of silvery, and her underwings are white with yellow bands on the undersides, and grey on top with 2 yellow bands at the bottom and then the rest of the feather is white. Her chest is sort of a dirty grey with lotsa little white spots going to her legs, then it's white with lotsa little grey bands. And then her tail turns a dirty yellow color on the underside, with black bands, while the top is still white/grey banded. Her head's light grey, and as it gets closer to cere/beak, it turns to pale yellow and then to white..and her cheekpatches are really light orange and yellowish.
so I don't know! I still think she's a normal grey though, but I'm just wondering if maybe she's a mutt. Is she a normal one or is she a mutt? And I'm convinced she's female cause her head isn't bright yellow at all..it's just grey and silver with yellow/white highlights close to the cere/beak.

She may be split to pied if she's colored like that.
If you had a picture of her you could email or post online that would help a lot. :)
